Spring is in the air, and the New Wave Singers of Baltimore are eager to share music with our audiences. Coming up on March 13 and March 14, we will be performing our annual Spring Showcase program. This is our 40th Anniversary year, so what would be more appropriate than to call it "Ruby Revelry: Celebrating 40 Years of Music Making". We hope you'll come celebrate with us!

We invite audiences to come hear some of our favorite music from our past 40 years. Whether you’re a long-time fan, or have never heard one of our performances before, there will be something for everyone. This concert features songs by the full chorus, as well as several small ensembles and solo numbers.

The program includes music from Rent and Hairspray, the Musical, as well as favorite arrangements for SATB voices such as True Colors (made famous by Cyndi Lauper), the popular jazz standard A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square, and more.

The Spring Showcase performances over the past few years have sold out, so we are thrilled to be performing on TWO dates this year. Please Join Us!

Friday, March 13, 2026, at 7:00 p.m.

Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. (ASL interpretation available on Saturday)

Both performances will be held at the Church of the Redeemer at 5603 N Charles St. in Baltimore (just north of Northern Parkway). Tickets are $25, and available at https://newwavesingers.org/tickets/

Christopher Schroeder provides artistic direction to the New Wave Singers of Baltimore, Maryland’s premier LGBTQ+ mixed chorus. James Harp performs as piano collaborator, and Michael McSweeney provides percussion.

The New Wave Singers of Baltimore is celebrating 40 Years of Making Music That Matters.

The New Wave Singers of Baltimore, Inc. (New Wave Singers) has been making music that matters since 1985. We are Maryland’s premier LGBTQ+ [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, other orientations] mixed chorus, welcoming members of all genders, identities and orientations. In pursuit of our mission to honor and respect diversity, we perform an eclectic collection of music that promotes justice, peace and the celebration of life. We sing music in a wide variety of styles, languages and traditions.

Generous support from the Maryland State Arts Council and private individuals have made these concerts possible.
