Ask Dr. J - Meandering Mind Within The Chaos

There are times when I wonder about the existence of luck. Last Friday was one instance of this. I happened to be in London, for a day, and saw that there was a special exhibition of the works of Banksy about a 5 minute walk from where I was staying.

Banksy Limitless had transformed London’s cultural heart into the stage for a groundbreaking exhibition of the world’s most elusive and provocative street artist. Curated by experienced producers of Banksy exhibitions, this temporary showcase presented 250 works: from certified originals and rare, one-of-a-kind pieces to large-scale installations, digital works, photos, and sculptures. I saw specially reproduced works created exclusively for this London event. The power of these works, given the current international situation, was immense. Twenty-two years ago, and I could not stop my mind from wondering about where we are today compared to then. Marriage equality, yes, but also the cultural regression to bigotry, lack of tolerance for human differences, and especially the recent actions regarding transphobia.
