This was released on the Annapolis Pride Facebook Page:
The safety of our community is our top priority. Following guidance from the Annapolis Office of Emergency Management and the National Weather Service, we have made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to postpone the 2025 Annapolis Pride Parade and Festival due to the threat of severe thunderstorms, lightning, and flooding.
Although this decision comes early in the weekend, significant logistical challenges and the safety of our participants make it necessary.
We remain deeply committed to celebrating Pride and standing in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community—not only in joyful moments, but especially in the face of growing challenges. At a time when federal attacks on LGBTQ+ rights are escalating, our voices, visibility and unity matter more than ever.
We look forward to celebrating Pride with you safely and joyfully this fall—bringing even more love, energy and resolve.
